My Bike Zambia adventure continues after successfully raising over $7800, thanks to all of my generous donors. Your support is greatly appreciated. Bike Zambia 2016 in it’s fifth year has raised over $165,000 this year, and over $750,000 in the past five years fighting poverty and HIV/AIDS.
Visit my blog and come along with me as we travel to Zambia and cycle 325 miles across the country from the capital city of Lusaka to Livingstone learning about the culture, customs and people of Zambia, and visit our benefactors. I lost my iphone/camera in Cape Town, so I would like to thank all my fellow riders for sharing their photos with me, so I can share them with you.
After losing a day, skirting the Arctic Circle, crossing the prime longitudinal meridian in Greenwich England, passing from the eastern to the western hemisphere, crossing the equator from the northern to the southern hemisphere, surviving five sleepless flights, experiencing the longs days of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and the short days of winter in the Southern Hemisphere, seeing the North Star and the Southern Cross in the same day, flying for over 32 hours, relaxing in Kew Gardens, walking the Queen’s Walk, practicing yoga and meeting cycling friends in London, flying over 13,000 miles, hiking Lion’s Head Peak and relaxing on the beach in Cape Town, I have arrived at my destination—Lusaka, Zambia. I am excited, jet lagged and jazzed to be here again!
