Chooda's committed Board of Directors have organized programs to raise over $650,000 in five years for organizations working in HIV/AIDS, poverty, and women's empowerment.
For the better part of the last decade, Peta has worked in the nonprofit sector. Previous to taking the Director role at Chooda, Peta was the Director of Programs for a leading nonprofit in the adventure therapy sector, where she implemented nationwide and international programs, working with different facets of fundraising to ensure the programs happened. Peta spent a portion of her teenage years and early twenties living in central southern Africa. She is thrilled to be able to work for an organization whose focus is to fund and raise awareness for essential programs in a place so close to her heart.
